The idea of FFI is to offer a platform for scientific exchange in the field of dental and medical fractography. Major objectives of the FFI are the exchange of expertise in between individual researchers, manufacturers, clinicians and last but not least - patients.
The FFI is open to every individual member over the age of 18 years as well as to corporate members who are interested in independent research and exchange regarding the method of failure analysis and fractography. Major tasks in the near future will be the organization of an annual workshop for education and scientific exchange in dental fractography as well as collecting as many clinical failures as possible and establishing a global database for failed clinical cases.
The idea is based on a formerly and successfully conducted workshop held by Janet & George Quinn as well as Susanne Scherrer in the US. The tradition and style of the workshop will guide us for the organization of our new Fracto Course!
We hope to attract new members and thus to increase our recognition in the field. Of course, every interested member is more than welcome in the FFI.
The annual membership fee for individuals is 20,00 €uro (corporate members: 1500,00 €uro).
